Oracle’s Construction and Engineering Global Business Unit (CEGBU) focuses on project-intensive industries such as engineering and construction, aerospace and defense, utilities, oil and gas, chemicals, industrial manufacturing, automotive, financial services, communications, travel and transportation, healthcare; state, local and federal government.

The CEGBU has numerous products that support Enterprise Project Portfolio Management software such as Unifier, P6, Aconex, OPPM and Oracle Primavera Cloud (formerly Prime) that encompasses resource allocation, cost reduction, supply-chain efficiency, and decision-making―using real-time data, for the enterprise market.

The Technical Consultant will be involved in on premise P6 installations, P6 version upgrades and cloud migrations.

This responsibility includes interacting with clients/internal stake holders at all levels to understand the business requirements to conclude the blueprint, configuration, testing, migration, support and continuous enhancements of the integration framework.

The position operating independently with some assistance and guidance to provide quality work products to a project team or customer that comply with Oracle methodologies and practices. Performs standard duties and tasks with some variation to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer specifications.Standard assignments are accomplished without assistance by exercising independent judgment, within defined policies and processes, to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Experience:

  • 2+ years of customer facing or consulting experience.

  • 3+ years of overall experience in relevant technical skills mentioned in the Job Skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients.

  • Enterprise Software implementation experience working for a software company.

  • Thorough knowledge of the software development life cycle

  • Previous systems (integration) experience with Oracle Products and other systems.

  • Excellent communication & coaching skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage with all customers, Oracle internal teams and Partners for delivery of bug free software.

  2. Design, Develop and test the assigned solution/software framework.

  3. Contribute to software code reusability and knowledge management

  4. Effective communication and excellent demonstrable knowledge of Oracle Primavera products.

  5. Take ownership of assigned projects and pre-sales opportunities and drive them to closure.

  6. Refine and improve the blended delivery processes

  7. Participate in Organisational initiatives related improvement of services from Oracle Construction and Engineering Global business unit.

  8. Report and collaborate with all related stakeholders

  9. Ability to work independently and with the team to ensure quality deliverables on the projects

Responsibilities

Job Skills:

  • Hands on experience in Installations / Upgrade / Health checks / Cloud migration of Primavera Applications – P6 EPPM, Unifier, Analytics

  • WebLogic and Database administration

  • Oracle Database, MS SQL Database, Advance PLSQL

  • OBIEE, Oracle Webcentre, AutoVue, Oracle HTTP Server, Tomcat

  • Hands on experience on Linux platform

  • Java or any programming background

  • Below skills will be added advantage

  • Cloud infrastructure concepts

  • Networking and security concepts

  • Expertise with Web services; SOAP and REST

  • Working with APIs/Integrations

  • Experience with Primavera product (Unifier, Primavera Cloud, Gateway, Analytics) would be added advantage
