Robert Half Customer Service in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is integral to our team, facilitating our commitment to outstanding customer service in the manufacturing industry. The Customer Service Representative will act as the primary point of contact between our team and our customers, providing strategic, responsive, and reliable service. The role requires strong skills in account management, customer service, and logistics.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently key in and confirm sales orders, shipping information/dates, pricing

• Resolve customer issues as they arise and maintain proactive communication to ensure customer satisfaction

• Guide production and warehouse teams to meet customer requirements

• Manage system forecast and status of sales

• Collaborate with procurement and logistics departments to assure timely delivery of products, keeping overall freight costs low

• Lead, manage and document regular customer inventory reviews

• Identify new project opportunities during customer interactions

• Provide backup support for other account management team members as needed

• Act as the advocate for our customers within the organization

• Utilize NetSuite and other ERP/MRP systems to manage customer accounts and inventory

• Perform other duties as required, including standard work generation for all responsibilities. Requirements

• Experience in a customer service role is required

• Proficiency in NetSuite and NetSuite CRM software and heavy Excel use

• Proven skills in account management

• Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service

• Experience in resolving customer service issues

• Knowledge of logistics and distribution systems

• Ability to manage and maintain adequate inventory

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Flexibility to work in different shifts including weekends and holidays

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification. Higher degree would be a plus.
