A well established Chattanooga area manufacturing concern is seeking an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will oversee the transactional accounting area, complete journal entries/accruals, and account reconciliations. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will review the financial statements as a first pass for their piece of the organization. This will also complete ad hoc analysis and work on special projects. The Accounting Manager role offers impact, but a change to be groomed for larger roles within the organization and the parent company.

The ideal candidate for Accounting Manager will have a BS in Accounting/Finance. 7+ years of broad based, general ledger exposure to include oversight of the transactional space. Experience managing multiple team members is required. Excellent communication skills and presentation skills are preferred. Intermediate Excel skills and ERP exposure are required.

The Accounting Manager is a hybrid role offering the ability to work from home a couple of days a week. This is a tremendous opportunity to be have real impact and be groomed for larger roles. Requirements

• 7+ years of general ledger experience

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in managing Accounting Functions.

• Capable of handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience in managing Billing Functions.

• Ability to make Adjusting Journal Entries and handle Accruals.

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation.

• Skilled in Financial Statement Preparation.

• Experience with Concur is preferred.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional certification such as CPA is highly desirable.
