Intermountain Health Data Governance Analyst - Senior in Helena, Montana

Job Description:

The Data Governance Analyst is responsible for implementing and customizing Collibra DIP and Collibra DQ to support best Data Governance practices at Intermountain Health.

Qualifications needed for this position:

  • Mastery in Collibra DIP and Collibra DQ

  • Experience in Data Governance and Data Quality management

  • Strong in data analysis languages including SQL and Python

  • Strong in Java programming and experience with building Spring Boot applications

  • Knowledge of Azure Databricks for big data analytics and processing

  • Experience working with healthcare-related data and systems

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Job Responsibilities

  • Deploy and maintain Collibra Edge Sites, and set up metadata connectors, lineage connectors on Edge

  • Develop custom software programs that integrate Collibra DIP with other applications to ingest additional metadata, streamline end user workflows or automate administration tasks

  • Implement the Collibra Operating Model based on Intermountain’s org structure and team dynamics

  • Implement capabilities related to business and technical metadata, data lineage, data profiling, and data quality rules in Collibra. 

  • Customize Collibra technical functionalities such as landing page, Data Marketplace, Global Search, Workflows, etc.

  • Gather Data Quality requirements from various business areas and implement satisfying solutions in Collibra DQ

  • Create custom rules, tune adaptive rues, and create Data Quality score card and alerts in Collibra DQ

  • Create DQ rules on and across various data sources including Azure Databricks, Oracle DB, and SQL Server

  • Administer Collibra DQ to enable access, and integration with ServiceNow and Collibra DIP

  • Lead and participate meetings with key personas to understand their data governance needs and implement creative technical capacities in Collibra

  • Develops and delivers training materials, use case and asset model documentation, as well as implementation specification 

  • Provide timely technical support for Data Stewards and any end users of Collibra in their Data Governance journey

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in a role requiring the demonstration of a proficient level of understanding of Healthcare-related controlled vocabularies, classifications, and coding systems and hands-on experience with data visualization.

  • Experience in a role requiring the demonstration of a proficient level of clinical modeling, medical vocabulary domains, their relationships and interdependencies and a good understanding of clinical concepts, workflows, and types of information used in a healthcare environment.

  • Experience in a role requiring the demonstration of a good understanding of how the clinical and administrative data are produced, consumed, and transformed and an understanding of the impact that clinical and business applications have on caregivers and the delivery of patient care.

  • Experience in a role requiring the demonstration of a moderate understanding of best data quality practices and metadata management processes.

  • Must be able to demonstrates a moderate understanding of data analysis practices, principles, applications and analysis methods and of best data quality practices and metadata management processes.

  • Must be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills required to assess effectiveness of data management practices in both simple and complex business processes.

  • Experience as a “team player” with strong relationship management skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across and at all levels within the organization.

  • Strong Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SQL, etc. and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Experience using word processing, advanced or complex spreadsheet and database applications, internet and e-mail and scheduling applications, as well as computerized tracking systems.

  • Registered Nurse and other clinical incumbents must hold current state licensure.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration

  • Proficiency in Linux systems administration

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools including Tableau and Cognos

  • Familiarity with data repositories and data models for EMR systems such as Epic and Cerner

  • Experience with REST/API

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$43.06 - $67.80
