What You Will Do

The position is responsible for:

  • Supporting development and execution of strategic sourcing plans to improve competitive position to achieve business goals.

  • Collaboration with business stakeholders and category managers in understanding business needs and developing sourcing strategies under the guidance of category managers.

  • Scouting the market for external manufacturers who can support our growth plans and innovation needs.

  • Understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and competitor evolution for assigned technologies.

  • Lead market research and industry analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages assigned projects collaborating across multiple supply chain functions.

  • Become an expert in the product technology and supply areas by developing in-depth knowledge about the industry (capabilities, strengths, weaknesses).

  • Analyse, understand, and interpret market dynamics and drivers, supplier constraints, quantity leverage, regional Regulations and best sourcing practices.

  • Understand assigned cost models and support cost model implementation across their assigned portfolio.

  • Support implementation of cost and/or complexity reduction opportunities.

  • In charge of low to medium complex negotiations in line with category strategy.

  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of negotiation tools/techniques and applies them regularly when given opportunities.

  • Supports the team with data analytics, BOM collection/spec management/download (where/when needed) and manages sophisticated financial/data analysis, monthly/quarterly reporting, and business cases, where needed.

  • Maintains a fundamental understanding of product cost make up and key cost drivers relating to the bill of materials.

  • Ensures that all relevant contractual documentation is handled as per the defined Contract Management Process.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in science, Engineering, supply chain management, procurement, or related field.

  • 4 years of procurement, operations, or supply chain experience with demonstrated success of managing projects.

  • Consumer/OTC products experience a plus.

  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive change in a decentralized organization with minimum supervision.

  • Experience in quantitative analysis using Microsoft Excel/Access (beyond basic data entry).

  • Strong analytical thinking with demonstrated results.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to present ideas in a business-friendly language.

  • Ability to set priorities and make decisions.

  • The candidate must be fluent, both written and speaking, in English.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in managing supplier relationships and conducting negotiations.

  • Experience working in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Strong understanding of costs, working capital, and other financial metrics.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs.
