AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Do you have the business savvy and the technical background necessary to help establish Amazon as a key technology platform provider? As a Public Safety Account Manager you will have the exciting opportunity to help promote the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology, for our Public Safety customers.

Your responsibility will be to increase the market penetration of AWS business in the enterprise accounts in the national security and public safety space. The ideal candidate will possess both a business and technical background that enables them to engage an account at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects. He/she should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan.

-Promote AWS services in the National Security space.

-Propose and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan.

-Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.

-Facilitate customer adoption.

-Maintain a robust projects pipeline.

-Work with partners to extend reach & promote adoption.

-Contribute to positive customer experience.

Basic Qualifications

-Significant Public Sector account management experience in the IT industry.

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required

  • Existing or willingness to undergo relevant clearances, SC, DV, NPPV

  • Direct field experience in working with global enterprise accounts. -Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing relevant clearances, SC, DV, NPPV

MBA qualification

  • A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS
