LEAD QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer leads and helps improve quality throughout our applications and processes. They work closely with development engineers, product, devops, customer success, and leadership to provide feedback and guidance on quality improvement and processes. The ideal candidate for this role is an excellent problem solver, highly inquisitive, extremely meticulous, organized, enjoys learning, enjoys collaborating with others, and is a go getter. They enjoy mentoring, training, and helping others improve quality. They take ownership and are reliable. They are more concerned about doing something right than just getting something done. They are not afraid to articulate concerns or issues. They know when to ask for help versus spinning their wheels. They are skilled at writing and reviewing documentation and always strive to make things easier the next time around for the next person that has to do it. They don't know everything, but have no problem diving deep into new technologies, tools, or best practices to become knowledgable and to apply those learnings to help the broader team or processes.
What you will do
Collaborates with all departments/areas to review and enhance quality
Contributes to continuous improvement of Quality Assurance practices
Contributes to organizational process improvement
Creates and review test plans
Creates and review test cases
Helps identify gaps in test regression
Reviews and enhances automation regression
Reviews and enhances regression test cases/suites
Helps identify gaps in test regression
Logs and reviews product defects
Reviews and provides guidance on release testing
Reviews work of other Quality Assurance Engineers
Mentors Quality Assurance Engineers and SDETs
Trains on Quality Assurance best practices and processes
Coordinates and lead user acceptance testing
Initial quality assurance point of contact for Production issues
Ensures test environments are maintained and functional
Maintains, reviews, and enhances quality documentation/wikis
Works directly with clients/partners to coordinate testing efforts
Researches and provides suggestions on tools
Resolves issues
Helps troubleshoot issues
Assists in audits
Subject Matter Expert in various areas of the product(s)
Must-Have*
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of programming experience
Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
Skills and Knowledge
Experience as Scrum Master and/or Product Owner
API Testing experience
Experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS
UI Automation experience
Performance testing experience
Royalties experience
Experience creating Jenkins Jobs for Automation or CI/CD
Audit/Compliance experience (SOC, etc)
Excellent problem solver
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Able to manage tight timelines when they arise along with multiple priorities
Familiar with defect tracking tools and processes (preferably JIRA)
Understands defect severity levels
Can write clear defects and assign appropriate severity level
Comfortable working with source control systems (preferably GitHub)
Compensation
Starting base salary: $111,408 - $189,738 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
