NMDP is a non-profit organization in the exciting and rapidly evolving cellular therapy industry. In this leadership role you will have the opportunity to mature the enterprise architecture practice in the areas of Architecture Governance, Intake / Consulting, Product / Platform Architecture and Digital Business Strategy / Innovation. You will lead teams comprised of 2-6 employees, and 3-10 contingent workers, spanning architectural disciplines with a focus on enterprise architecture, solution architecture and integration.The Sr. Manager works directly with business partners and IT stakeholders, applying standardized engagement models to ensure governance and coherent architecture guidance for initiatives.This role builds significant relationships across the organization and serves as an architectural strategic thought leader. This is a remote position (US). #LI-RemoteCheck out our video Saving Lives: It's the Best Job EverACCOUNTABILITIES:Responsible for maturing the enterprise architecture practice in the areas of Architecture Governance, Intake / Consulting, Product / Platform Architecture and Digital Business Strategy / innovationArchitecture Governance: Ensuring consistent application of our IT Strategic Principles, optimizing technical investments, managing strategically significant technical risk and simplifying the IT portfolio. Establishes architectural standards and patterns.Intake / Consulting: Provide consistent, easy to navigate, consultation between the business and IT through a standardized EA intake experience across the project (ePMO), product and ad-hoc consulting channels. Ensures high quality customer service.Product / Platform Architecture: Ensure Core IT Products and Platforms have a defined target state including long term performance, scalability and security. Collaborates with other IT and business stakeholders to develop, validate and approve target states.Digital Business Strategy / Innovation: Ensure NMDP business capabilities are digitally enabled for competitive advantage. This includes ensuring that business capabilities are well defined, that capability enablement is routinely assessed and that an ideal state vision with roadmap exists for key business lines as well as for the enterprise at large. Lead strategy and design of CRM related digital transformation initiatives across different service lines. Ensure that the Salesforce and other platforms scale effectively with the business demands.Establish and lead a CoE that provides architectural guidance for CRM solutions, performs Vendor evaluation and makes Build vs Buy decisions. Define architectural strategy, governance, and best practices.Collaborate with architects across business and IT to develop POCs, technical assessments, and articulate trade-offs. Present and advocate for the solution to the Product Management team and Business and drive it to completion. Utilize extensive Salesforce expertise to review optimal solutions, focusing on maximizing functionality and system integrations while adhering to pragmatic cost models.Guarantee project success not solely through feature implementation but also via the seamless integration of data across systems.Workforce and Department Leadership:Develops leadership competencies, sets effective behavioral and performance standards and nurtures relationships within the architecture team and among peers/colleagues across IT.Hires, trains, manages, mentors and evaluates performance of staff a d contractors serving in an architecture capacity.Plans and manages technical service and consulting engagements as required.Participates in budgeting for the enterprise architecture department. Maintains proper cost controls and spending within budget. Supports overall budget stewardship in collaboration with the Chief Architect.Motivate and mentor teams to create a dynamic and cohesive environment that champions success. Collaborate with other stakeholders in IT to effectively communicate and implement CRM strategies.Maintain clear, effective communication between stakeholders and the technical team, bridging gaps between technical and business perspectives.Foster a culture of continuous improvement. Drive improvements by assessing project outcomes and applying insights to future projects.Other Accountabilities:Self-educates and maintains knowledge of trends, emerging technologies, and information systems development, and determines their potential application to the NMDP.Keep abreast of the latest Salesforce updates and features, promoting the adoption of new innovations within the organization to help meet business key metrics.
