Hourly pay rate: $17.00

Schedule: M-F 7:00AM - 3:30PM

Location Information

Watco moves any commodity, and at this site, we handle a large variety of breakbulk and project cargo, including pipe, steel coils, and plate.

    Position Description

  • Performs various manual tasks as a general laborer to assist in loading/ unloading barges, trucks, railcars and upkeep of terminal facility.

  • Fosters teamwork, positive work environment and overall safety of self and others.

  • ​All work must conform to customer expectations and company policy and procedures.

  • Ability to take direction and supervision.

  • Ability to interpret directions and/or instructions.

  • Demonstrate predictable, reliable, and timely attendance.

  • Follow written and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks on schedule.

  • Read, write, and communicate in English & understand basic math.

  • Learn from directions, observations, and mistakes and apply procedures using good judgment.

  • Working knowledge of Watco Safety and Operating principles.

  • Work independently or as part of a team and interact appropriately with others.

  • Self-motivated with ability to complete projects with minimum direct supervision.

  • High level of attention to detail.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Machines, Tools, Special Equipment, Personal Protective Equipment Used

  • Tractor Trailer, (No CDL Required) Yard Truck, Forklift

  • PPE; hard hat, HI Vis vest (work clothes), safety glasses, gloves, steel toed boots, ear plugs and respirators, if needed

    Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.

  • Ability to pass training and required testing, including drug test

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
