Title: Electrical Design Verification Engineer

Duration: 1 year with possible extension 

Location: Onsite Redmond, WA

Hours: Minimum 40 Hours/Week 

Role:

• Create a Manufacturing Test plan for program builds.

• Collaborate with the research hardware team and external vendors to create a test plan, which sets design verification test requirements and deliverables.

• Track the design verification program schedule, set milestones, and identify risks with mitigation plans to meet program needs.

• Analyze/review test data + design validation data and evaluate with the design team.

• Work with vendors to monitor the readiness of manufacturing test fixtures during the build phases and integrate schedules with the overall project schedule.

• Collaborate with Manufacturing Test, ME, EE, OE, REL, and System Software teams to identify test requirements and milestones and communicate with the program team.

• Ensure technical coordination between the internal hardware team and CMs/JDM’s and align requirements and deliverables.

• Mitigate schedule risks and drive integration to align with the overall project schedule.

• Develop new capabilities to enable an analysis of test data, providing a clear view of system-level performance against product KPIs.

Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in system-level testing, hardware testing, and software test tool development.

• Experience with test equipment and measurement techniques to verify and validate product requirements.

• Proficiency in Python with familiarity with best practices (linting, typing, unit testing, etc.)

• Project management skills to track and communicate the status of all project work.

• Experience using version control (SVN, Git, hg, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in Consumer Electronics and/or battery-powered devices.

• Understanding of electrical schematics and system architecture to analyze and improve test coverage at system level.

• Experience working with Qualcomm chipsets for mobile applications.

• Experience developing Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines for testing of hardware devices.

• Experience with Python testing frameworks (unit test, pytest, OpenHTF, etc.).

• Experience with automating Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems (LabJack, National Instruments DAQmx, DEWESoft, etc.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Range $70/hr - $80/hr.
