  • Accountable for providing leadership in support of the safety journey and the company's goal of achieving an injury-free workplace.
  • Accountable for continuous improvement in workplace safety by promptly addressing the root causes of OIIs or near misses, conducting safety meetings, promptly addressing safety concerns raised by employees, and leading by example.
  • Accountable for EHS compliance.
  • Accountable for using training and tools (such as SIC boards) to set clear performance expectations for employees and drive performance improvements.
  • Accountable for efficient packaging operations as measured by OEE targets and other KPIs.
  • Accountable for production schedule adherence (schedule provided by the Production Scheduler).
  • Accountable for meeting budget performance goals in applicable cost centers.
  • Accountable for complying with SOI requirements.
  • Accountable for ensuring compliance with all QC requirements (GMP, HAACP) and providing leadership to drive continuous improvements in product quality.
  • Accountable for achieving high standards for housekeeping and obtaining full utilization of indirect labor personnel assigned to housekeeping or other tasks.
  • Accountable for the minimization of scrap, waste, or rework from packaging operations.
  • Accountable for the orderly placement of finished product in the warehouse to facilitate stock rotation and the minimization of damaged finished pallets while placing product in the warehouse.
  • Accountable for the accurate reporting of production via the bar code system.
  • Accountable and responsible for ensuring that operating procedures are followed and that operators are properly trained.
  • Accountable and responsible for recording accurate loss accounting data (RedZone).
  • Accountable and responsible for communicating production, quality, and EHS issues to other shifts through shift handoff meeting.
  • Accountable and responsible for managing shift, vacation, and overtime scheduling.
  • Responsible for maintaining safety, quality, and legality of all product and ensuring employees do likewise.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Possesses knowledge of technical information in the unit/area.
  • Demonstrates background knowledge of operating procedure and process.
  • Demonstrates respect, inclusion, cooperation, and responsibility (RICR).
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • 5 years of experience operating in a production packaging environment.
