Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity in the transport industry, based in Seattle, Washington. The role involves performing payroll clerk functions, focusing on processing multi-state, semi-monthly payroll using ADP for union and non-union employees, preparing reports, reconciling General Ledger accounts, and providing customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Process multi-state, semi-monthly payroll using ADP for both union and non-union employees.

• Prepare reports related to payroll and resolve any discrepancies as needed.

• Reconcile General Ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency.

• Create and transmit union reporting as needed.

• Respond to employee inquiries, providing excellent customer service and processing special requests.

• Assist with new employee setup, garnishments, benefits deductions, and direct deposit management.

• Upload and edit vacation, sick, and PTO accruals monthly, resolving any issues that arise.

• Process reimbursements for expenses and educational trainings.

• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned, showcasing adaptability and flexibility.

• Ensure accuracy, neatness, and timeliness of record keeping and filing.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000.

Requirements • Demonstrated ability to process payroll accurately and on time

• Experience handling multi-state payroll, including knowledge of differing state tax regulations

• Familiarity with semi-monthly payrolls and ability to manage such schedules

• Proficiency in using ADP for payroll processing

• Experience working with union payroll and understanding of related regulations

• Knowledge of general ledger and ability to reconcile payroll transactions

• Excellent customer service skills to handle payroll related queries

• Experience dealing with payroll garnishments and understanding of legal requirements

• Ability to process expense reimbursements in a timely and accurate manner

• Understanding of transport industry-specific payroll considerations is a plus
