SR Project Engineer -VAVE

Location: China， Shanghai

Sr. Project Engineer -VAVE

BASIC FUNCTION:

1. Initiate and execute VAVE Projects following the VAVE approach and Exit Gate process.

2. Coordinate cross functional teams (Internal and External, local and international) in VAVE implementation.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Identify cost reduction opportunities through benchmarking analysis, competitor product tear down exercise, manufacturing cost analysis etc.

2. Work with electronics product design engineers to initiate the VAVE projects.

3. Work with cross functional teams (engineering, supply chain planning, marketing, buyer, suppliers, and manufacturing operation & etc.) to manage the VAVE project, including design change management, product cost, delivery time, parts and finish goods inventory control.

4. Communicate with international team and VAVE top management team to make sure VAVE cost out are well managed against plan.

5. Document all the activities as per ISO requirements and report to the Stake holders on recommended frequency.

Skills/Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree and above in Electrical Engineering major

2. A minimum of 2 years related work experience in execution of cost reduction VA/VE, Continuous Design Improvement projects, and program management.

3. Experience in execution of product engineering Projects.

4. Demonstrated ability to drive solid engineering solutions and complex problems solving with minimum support.

5. Good knowledge of electronics product design and manufacturing processes.

6. Must have good communication to work globally with cross function teams in English.

7. Good Knowledge in electronics hardware or firmware design.
