Description

Robert Half is partnering with a well established privately held company who is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk based in St. Francisville, Louisiana. This role is key to the company's financial operations, focusing on the accurate and timely processing of customer invoices and refunds, collecting outstanding balances, and maintaining customer information. You will also play a crucial role in forecasting cash flow, collaborating with other departments, and assisting in audits.

Responsibilities:

• Post and record customer invoices and refunds accurately and promptly

• Report expected cash receipts to the Controller

• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities

• Initiate daily collection efforts and carry out collection activities according to specific deadlines

• Communicate with customers regarding invoice discrepancies or payment issues and respond promptly to customer inquiries

• Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts receivable files and documentation

• Generate and send out customer statements providing information regarding current account balances

• Ensure all new and existing customers have provided proper tax exemption certificates, where applicable

• Collaborate with other departments, such as Procurement and Project Management to ensure smooth operations

• Assist Controller in cash flow forecasting by providing weekly estimated payment receipts.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Billing procedures

• Expertise in Cash Applications

• Knowledge of Cash Collections

• Experience in Commercial Collections

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Good organizational and multitasking abilities

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy

• Capable of working independently and as part of a team

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

• A solid understanding of financial regulations
