As a leading and rapidly growing manufacturer of III-V laser diodes, were always looking to add members to our dynamic engineering team. As a member of the epitaxial and optical thin film manufacturing group youll be immersed in multi-modal thin film growth and deposition techniques while developing your metrology and characterization skills to enable best-in-class device production.

Laser Optical Coating Engineer position is unique in that it offers simultaneous opportunities to hone your engineering skills while also developing a greater understanding of how data drives manufacturing improvements through the implementation and utilization of dynamic data analysis.

Duties:

• Monitor and evaluate SPC data using Excel/MiniTab/MATLAB
• Develop a reporting strategy for SPC data which clearly identifies improvement focus areas
• Work with technicians/operators/facilities staff to ensure continuous operation of production resources
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and develop DOEs/implement engineering change orders
• Monitor and report on process yield/throughput
• Drive continuous improvement of characterization methods
• Be comfortable working in clean room attire as required
