Deloitte EDI Engineer in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Work you'll do/Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for IBM Sterling Integrator platform, including configuration of integration workflows and trading partner profiles

  • Respond promptly to support tickets and service requests related to IBM Sterling Integrator functionality, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and meeting SLAs

  • Conduct system health checks, log analysis, and performance monitoring proactively to identify and address potential issues before they impact system availability or performance

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system enhancements, upgrades, and patches for IBM Sterling Integrator, adhering to best practices and change management processes

  • Assist in root cause analysis and post-incident reviews for critical incidents involving IBM Sterling Integrator, documenting findings and recommendations for preventive measures

  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support to ensure 24/7 coverage, including troubleshooting file transfer issues and other specific IBM Sterling Integrator-related challenges

  • Contribute to the maintenance of system documentation and knowledge base articles, facilitating knowledge sharing and ensuring continuity of support services

  • Configure routing channels and templates for message processing in IBM Sterling Integrator, addressing any issues encountered during configuration

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code maintaining industry and client standards ensuring code quality and code coverage adherence as well as debugging and resolving any issues/defects

  • Participate in delivery process like Agile development and actively contribute to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

  • Resolve issues or incidents reported by end users and escalate any quality issues or risks with team leads/scrum masters/project leaders

  • Expertise in end-to-end construction cycle starting from Design (low level and high level), coding, unit testing, deployment and defect fixing along with coordinating with multiple stakeholders

  • Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management

  • Foundry Services: Operate services providing flexible, recurring resource capacity for client initiatives, projects, tasks, and enhancement

  • Managed Services: Operate services that provide ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and optimization for IT/Engineering applications & products

    Qualifications

    Required

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience

  • 4+ years of experience in providing technical support and maintenance for IBM Sterling Integrator (SI) platform

  • Proficiency in configuring integration workflows, data maps, and trading partner profiles in IBM Sterling Integrator

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis for critical incidents

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Knowledge of B2B business processes and familiarity with EDI standards and protocols (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT)

  • Understanding of document standards and protocols relevant to IBM Sterling Integrator (e.g., XML, AS2, FTP, HTTP)

  • Ability to adhere to coding standards, document standards (e.g., W3C standards), and other industry best practices

  • Ability to work in shifts and participate in on-call rotation for support coverage, including weekends and holidays

  • Ability to perform estimation of work products

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Flexibility to adapt and apply innovation to varied business domain and apply technical solutioning and learnings to use cases across business domains and industries

  • Experience with application support and business operations in consumer and retail industry

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and find solutions

  • Ability to provide after hours and on-call support as needed

  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

    Preferred

  • Experience in cloud-based Integration platforms (eg AWS, Azure), Java Coding

  • Experience in ITSM tools and JIRA

  • IBM Sterling B2B certifications

  • Analytical/ Decision Making Responsibilities

  • Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products

  • Can operate independently or with minimum supervision

  • Excellent Written and Communication Skills

  • Ability to deliver technical demonstrations
