Manual Test Engineer

Educational Qualification (Any Pre-requisite): Graduate/Postgraduate

Minimum Experience: 2-5 years

Primary Skills - Technical:

1. Working experience in Test Design (Creation of Test Scenarios and Test Cases) based on the functional specification document

2. Working experience in estimating the efforts required for Test activities (Test design and Test Execution)

3. Working experience in System Testing/ System Integration Testing/ Regression Testing/User Acceptance Testing for BFSI applications

4. Experience in defect triaging

5. Good understanding of Testing Life Cycle and working experience in latest Test tools (JIRA, ALM etc.)

6. Working experience in creation of Test Execution reports as per the client requirements

Primary Skills - Non -Technical:

1. Quick Learner: Ability to learn new technology, tools and best practices in Testing

2. Should be good in problem solving and debugging

3. Proactive and assertive attitude

4. Good in verbal & written communication

Secondary Skills:

1. Has good understanding of Test Automation concepts and Test Automation tools

Special Requirements (e.g. in case of Production Support, would shift timings be required):

1. Knowledge of BFSI domain 2. Experience of Agile projects would be an added advantage

Responsibilities:

1. Create Test Scenario’s and Test cases based on Functional Specification document

2. Prioritize Test cases for execution and execute the Test Cases

3. Raise defects in Defect Management tool

4. Walkthrough of defects to Development team and business team

5. Participate in Defect triage meetings

6. Provide summary and detailed Test Execution report to Test Lead/Test Manager

7. Support Test Automation team
